After reading The Obsidian Eye and watching Cathy Warshaw’s Q&A, the story took on an entirely new depth for me. What initially felt like a fast-paced YA mystery became something far more layered an exploration of curiosity, courage, and the cost of uncovering hidden truths. Hearing the author discuss the inspiration behind the secret societies and the intentional way the sisterhood was formed gave me a deeper appreciation for how carefully the world was built. The characters’ choices feel more meaningful knowing they were designed to mirror real-life moments of trust and doubt. This is the kind of book that invites discussion long after the final page, especially when paired with the author’s insights.
