One quiet morning in Upland, California, Cathy Warshaw woke up with something unusual—a story in her head that refused to fade. It wasn’t an idea for another non-fiction book, which she had written before. This was different. It was vivid. Urgent. Fiction. And even though she’d never seen herself as a novelist, Cathy did what overachievers do best—she dove in headfirst.

She sat at her computer and began to write. For the next three days, she barely moved. Her husband joked he needed an appointment just to see her. Meals? Skipped. Sleep? A luxury. But Cathy couldn’t stop—the story poured out of her, and with it, the beginning of something extraordinary. That story became The Sisterhood Sleuths, the first of what would become an eight-book international series full of mystery, codes, ancient secrets, and global adventure.

The journey begins right where Cathy lives—in the familiar neighborhoods of Upland, California. But it quickly expands, taking readers across the ancient landscapes of Israel, deep into Switzerland’s secret vaults, beneath the Roman catacombs in Italy, through the art-covered walls of France, into the magical green hills of Ireland, under the ice of Iceland, and finally, to the neon-lit cities and ancient temples of Japan.

Once the door to fiction opened, Cathy’s mind never slowed down. Characters came to life, plotlines twisted and turned, and a dynamic world took shape. At the heart of it all are two bold young women—the Sisterhood Sleuths—on a relentless quest to uncover hidden truths around the world.

But Cathy’s vision didn’t stop with books.

The entrepreneur in her came alive. She’s currently developing a Sisterhood Sleuths Monopoly game—bilingual in English and Spanish—based on the first book, The Obsidian Eye. An interactive mobile app is also in the works, filled with scavenger hunts, puzzles, ciphers, and a growing community of mystery lovers from around the world.

Her books will be available in English, Spanish, and Hebrew—bringing her stories to readers across cultures and continents.

From a single morning spark to a global adventure, Cathy Warshaw’s leap into fiction has turned into a thrilling ride she never expected—but wouldn’t trade for anything.

Cathy is a wonderful, vibrant writer! Her characters are equally exciting. What's great about her sleuthing sisters and their dynamic team, is not just that they are super role models for young readers - fun, resilient, determined, brave, loyal, kind - they take the readers on a world tour. The stories introduce the young readers to fascinating places and histories, so each book becomes not just a thrilling read, but an education journey. Wholeheartedly recommend this series and all its peripheries for young adults (and older ones too!)
